| INTRODUCTION |

Using this webquest you are going to learn about the Middle Ages: The organization of society; different social classes,life, culture, history, religion and traditions. You are also going to learn about people’s way of living in a Medieval Castle, as well as its different parts: Who lived and worked in the each part. |

To know about life and society in the Middle Ages, why did people build castles? and what were they build for? You will also learn about the main historical events related to the Bellver Castle its architecture and its different uses during the history. |

Before going to the Bellver Casle you are going to imagine that you are a touristic gide working in Mallorca; that’s why you are going to make a brochure about Medieval Castles and in this particular case about the Bellver Castle. First of all,you have to write a short introduction about the Middle Ages; then,you have to draw a picture and name the main parts in a Medieval Castle and after that, you have to write about the Bellver Castle: location, history, architecture why was it built and by whom, the most important historical events related to it and what is it used for nowadays. To do this task you can divide the class or the group into different groups and each group will find information about one of the different topics you have to write about. After that you can play the role of the touristic guide and explain to your classmates all what you have learnt.
